Olympics Day 13 – Molson Canadian Hockey House Havoc

February 25, 2010

It was a day of mayhem.  Good mayhem, really the best sort of mayhem but mayhem nonetheless!  It was Molson Canadian Hockey House day for me and my family and we were ready!  Besides passes to MCHH we also had tickets for the 4:30pm hockey game at Canada Hockey House.  We bought these tickets before knowing who would be playing, we got ridiculously lucky as it turned out to be the Canada-Russia game!  We took hundreds of photos (seriously) so instead of writing much today I’m going to post up a bunch of photos and let them explain our day.  But I will say, it was amazing!

Lunch at MCHH. It was relatively quiet at this point, but I do emphasize relatively. MCHH is loud and crazy pretty much all of the time. Check out the 'stained glass windows' on the wall behind us!

Sardis Secondary Drum Band - rockin' the entry to the Canada-Russia hockey game.

Redmen at the hockey game!

I sat beside Christine Simpson for the game! So cool!!

Tony and Doug very happy with the game!

This is Frank. He's on the Canada Snowball Team. He and the rest of the team are trying to get snowball fighting included as an Olympic sport!

Canada and Russia shaking hands after the game.

Back at the MCHH... Go Canada Go!!

The 2010vanfan clan!

Great Big Sea played! I danced, a lot! They were great! Really energetic and of course wonderful music!

Scott Moir with his beautiful Gold Medal!!

Mom and dad with Scott's Gold Medal! Scott was a total rockstar last night - posing for photos, signing autographs and tossing his Gold Medal around so that people could hold it and see it. Awesome! Tessa was more reserved but smiling brightly!

Tony handing Scott's medal back to him. What a fun night!!

Ashley McIvor was there too! So were Dany Heatley and Donovan Bailey!! It was a wild night!!

Thank you merci!
